What if Christian music had a community built around discipleship, not just networking?
Australian-based music company For The Glory is launching Glory Gather — an online community for Christians in the music industry to be developed + discipled.
Whether you're an artist, producer, songwriter, creative, or industry professional, Glory Gather exists to help you find your people, sharpen your craft, and grow in your faith.

CMAA's People’s Choice Awards are here, and it’s your chance to have your say. To help make your decision, Aaron Duff from Australian Christian Records went direct to all the artists nominated, and asked them some questions...
Each year, Christian Media & Arts Australia (CMAA) hold an award ceremony to celebrate the artists and songs that have connected with listeners, encouraged communities and helped shape the sound of Christian music across the country.
CMAA's People’s Choice Awards recognise Australian Christian music artists and cover the three award categories of:
Australian Artist of the Year
Australian Emerging Artist of the Year
Australian Song of the Year
The finalists for 2026 are a well-rounded group with some very experienced artists like For King & Country, Nathan Tasker, Planetboom and Nathan Plumridge (from Compliments of Gus); young artists in their early 20's like Ethan Beer and LILLI; some Hillsong alumni who have gone solo in Taya and Aodhan King; a former winner of The Australian Voice in Tarryn Stokes.
And they cover a wide spectrum of genres too - from classic CCM artists like Matt Crocker and Jeremy Bilson; to hip hop acts like Victor Claye and River Movement.
Your vote helps shine a light on the artists you love and gives you the opportunity to get behind the music being made right here in Australia. Voting closes July 31 and you can make your vote at: https://form.jotform.com/261650652230853

*Note that all artists were all contacted, but not all replied before our publication deadline.
1. Hometown: Geelong, VIC
2. Signature Dish: I’m a simple meat and veg guy. Air-fried Salmon fillets, huge salad (more veg the merrier), brown rice, drizzle olive oil and coconut aminos.
3. First Music Release: As a solo artist, it was a random acoustic Soundcloud demo while at university called Hello. I wrote it when I turned 21 and as a member of Compliments of Gus, we later recorded a new version on The 'Black And The White Of It' album.
4. Latest Music Release: Jesus In These Shoes (feat. Compliments of Gus)
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Always a tough question. Let’s go Psalm 139:23-24
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: At the moment, Michael Paynter is topping the list - though not strictly CCM. Otherwise, really enjoying LILLI’s new material.
1. Hometown: Gold Coast & Brisbane, QLD
2. Signature Dish: Classic Aussie bbq. Cooking tip for sausages: Callum’s “wiggle test”. Hold the tongs half way down the snag and give it a shake. If it’s wobbly, KEEP COOKING! Serving suggestion - held delicately between one slice of bread diagonally, sauce of choice administered heartily (sprinkle lightly with onion if feeling fancy).
3. First Music Release: Her Heart (2018)
4. Latest Music Release: Son of Man (2026)
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Jeremiah 29:11-13,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: New Empire
1. Hometown: Freetown Sierra Leone / Northern Adelaide, SA
2. Signature Dish: My current signature dish is my toasted omelette wrap. The omelette is seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika, then wrapped in Lebanese bread with cheese and a healthy dose of mayo.
3. First Music Release: No Mountain feat. Maniluckyza (September, 2022)
4. Latest Music Release: Gospel Math feat. River Movement (July, 2026)
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: River Movement
1. Hometown: Adelaide & Mount Gambier, SA
2. Signature Dish: Tuna Mornay. Might not sound like everyone’s cup of tea, but add some pasta, crispy croutons, a drizzle of tomato sauce and maybe some lemon and you’re on a winner! Winter soul food for sure.
3. First Music Release: The LILLI EP with the single Nostalgia! (June, 2024)
4. Latest Music Release: My debut album Anthropology (June, 2026)
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Subject to change depending on the season I’m in. As of right now, Ephesians 2:10 is rocking!
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: This is a HARD one to answer, but I reckon For King + Country and Colin Buchanan might be battling it out!
1. Hometown: Maitland / Newcastle, NSW
2. Signature Dish: I don't mean to boast but I make mean eggs on toast. Also Mexican food.
3. First Music Release: I recorded and released my debut EP 'Head Above Water' while completing my Music Degree at the University Of Newcastle. (2016)
4. Latest Music Release: My Friend & King is a worship song about knowing and loving God, not only as our Lord and king, but also as our most intimate friend. (March, 2026)
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Isaiah 43:1-3
'Do not fear for I have redeemed you; I have summed you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned, the flames won't set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God.'
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: Aodhan King. His new output with Benjamin William Hastings is fire.
1. Hometown: Sydney, NSW (born & raised)
2. Signature Dish: I am fortunate enough to be married to an amazing cook, my wife, Cassie. Usually it is better for me not to be in the kitchen (if you want something edible!), however, I do love making breakfast - pancakes, waffles, French toast… essentially anything that can be a delivery vehicle for maple syrup.
3. First Music Release: I count my first “real” music release as my album 'A Look Inside' in 2003. It is still one of my favourites, and it changed the course of my life!
4. Latest Music Release: My latest song, 'Never Too Far Gone'. I have a new song coming out later this year that I am really excited about!
5. Favourite Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:21
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: I started making music around the same time as Paul Colman Trio, Alabaster Box, Compliments of Gus, Sons of Korah, and I loved them all! Most recently, though, I was opening for my friends, We Are Messengers, in Australia and we had some great local artists open before me. So my new favourites are Tenielle Neda, Tekoa, and Ethan Beer.
1. Hometown: Brisbane, QLD
2. Signature Dish: GOTTA BE a chicken parmy, or butter chicken, or anything with chicken.
3. First Music Release: The first ever music I dropped was actually a 3 song Christmas cover EP, safe to say that thing has been completely purged from the internet praise God!
4. Latest Music Release: My latest song is “Hallelujah (Hearts On Fire)” with Youth Alive!
5. Favourite Bible Verse: My favorite Bible verse for a long time has been Daniel 3:17-18
"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: Right now my favorite Australian Christian artist has gotta be Lucy Sugerman!!! I love her style of writing, I think it’s super unique - she's definitely going places!
Other finalists are: Matt Crocker, Aodhan King, and Planetboom
1. Hometown: Melbourne born, but we just moved last year to the Sunshine Coast. I love both! I’m lucky I get to travel with my music so I get to go back to Melbourne for some coffee and art, and live in the sun near the beach!
2. Signature Dish: I make a great chocolate cake with sprinkles! Otherwise for a savoury dish it would be veggie curry. I throw it all in the thermomix and cook - not very fancy! haha.
3. First Music Release: Thunder (2019). Although I was earlier featured on a fun song called Magic (2009) with Guy Sebastian.
4. Latest Music Release: Rubies and Gold. It has a special place in my heart and written for the younger generation from the older generation. It speaks that you are worth far more than rubies and gold. There’s a cameo of my little 5 year old daughter singing at the end it’s so cute.
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:6. This has been comforting to someone who has had anxiety over the years and given me hope that God knows and cares for us.
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist: For King & Country! Getting to support them across Australia on their tour was such a treat. Their songs are epic and comforting and inspiring and they are very good humans too!
1. Hometown: Wahroonga, NSW
2. Signature Dish: Joel's a big fan of ramen and sushi.
3. First Music Release: 'A Tale of Two Towns' EP by 'Joel and Luke' released May 2008 - but it's hard to find on streaming platforms these days.
4. Latest Music Release: Miracle
5. Favourite Bible Verse: Luke's favourite is Psalm 20:7
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."
6. Favourite Australian Christian Artist:
Editor's Note: We didn't get a reply on this one, but we are thinking that's because they would probably have to say their older sister Rebecca St.James!
